Ted West - Californ-i-a

When I was younger the called me 'The Bear'
They said I was tough, I lived life without a care
Now that I'm older, I long to be there
Out west where the wind just flies through my hair
I'm going to take that westbound journey down that wide open road
Back to the place in my past that I once called home
Baby I'm coming home, Baby I'm coming home
Back to Californ-i-a
Baby I'm coming home, Baby I'm coming home
Back to Californ-i-a
Yea, I know some people think this state's a little weird
We got zen politicians; we got pot smokers with beards
But from that sweet Socal coastline to those Cayucos bars
Well there ain't no place like it underneath the western stars
If the rest of them don't like it, well that suits me just fine
For the rest of my life, I know that I'm
Baby I'm coming home, Baby I'm coming home
Back to Californ-i-a
Baby I'm coming home, Baby I'm coming home
Back to Californ-i-a
Baby I'm coming home, Baby I'm coming home
Back to Californ-i-a
Baby I'm coming home
Back to Calfiorn-i-a
You know there's nothing else that I'd rather do
Then stare at her bright mountains and her sweet Pacific hues
I'm gonna pack up my suitcase and jump right in my car
Go find those waves at Big Sur and Yosemite stars
Well, you know once you've found her you can't turn back around
She's a natural beauty on a fertile piece of ground
Baby I'm coming home, Baby I'm coming home
Back to Californ-i-a
Back to Californ-i-a
Baby I'm coming home, Baby I'm coming home
Back to Californ-i-a
Back to Californ-i-a

Ted West - Mr Jimi

Well there's dark eyes
On the sunrise
Butterflies and Blue skies
Play it Jimi play
Forget me nots
In melting pots
Lost between the sandlots
Play it Jimi play
Tall trees
In the cool, cool breeze
Through which you gently weave
Play it Jimi play
Wild Thing
Little Wing
Your stings they sweetly sing of
Queens mistreating kings
Jam on
You dreaming thing
Many have tried but none can claim
To take the thrown from him
Shady groves
And girls in drove
Underneath the mangroves
Play it Jimi play
Well there's frostbite
On a cold night
You know you'll be alright
Play it Jimi play
Wild thing
Little Wing
Your strings they sweetly sing of
Queens mistreating kings
Jam on
You dreaming thing
Your string they sweetly sing of
Queens mistreating kings
Shattered dreams
And frightened screams
The world's more than it seems
Play it Jimi play
Hurricanes
And heavy, heavy rains
Love comes like a freight train
Play it Jim play
Wild thing
Little Wing
Your strings they sweetly sing of
Queens mistreating kings
Jam on
You dreaming thing
Many have tried but none can claim
To take the thrown from him
(Repeat chorus)

Been waiting for you baby
Longer than you know
Sing it to me gently
Rock me slow
Drown me underwater
'Til I let my feelings go
Unravel what I've left inside
For you and me alone
I've forgotten, but I want to know
The only thing that i have lost
That I still want to own
Sweet Soul Survivor
Rythmn Revivor
Singing from a blue eyed soul
that's crying deep inside her
Sweet, sweet, sweet
Sweet soul survivor
I heard that your soul sister
Had her back against the wall
Wouldn't go to rehab
Said she'd rather take the fall
Had another relapse
Spiked her final vein
Took that one last journey
On that crazy train
Shed her mortal coil
Now only you remain
Let me hear your love
I wanna feel your pain
Sweet soul survivor
Rhythm reviver
Singing with a blue eyed soul
That's crying deep inside her
Sweet, sweet, sweet
Sweet soul survivor
I'm still listening baby
My ear's against the wall
Let me feel your voice
I wanna hear your siren's call
Sweet soul survivor
Rhythm revivor
Singing with a blue eyed soul
That's Crying deep inside her
Go easy on my baby
I wasn't born for this
Try a little tenderness
When you give your kiss
Your quality is never ever strained
It falls like gentle rain
I feel your love
I hear your pain
Sweet soul survivor
Rhythm Reviver
Singing from a blue-eyed soul that's crying deep inside her
Sweet, sweet, sweet
Sweet soul survivor

I was born a miner with a heart of gold
I had a young man's face, but I watched it grow old
Now my spirit's winded and my body's grown cold
So when I pass away, this is all I got to say
Put me on a slow train
Take my body back to the town where they know my name
On a slow train
The kind that drive through the snow and the pouring rain
I was born in the mountains back in Tennesee
Worked in a West Virginia coal mine ever since I was sixteen
Now my friends and family's back in Tennessee
Living in the town where they'll bury me
Put me on a slow train
Take my body back to the town where they know my name
On a slow train
The kind that drive through the snow and the pouring rain
On a Slow Train
Now don't put me on no fast train or no midnight express
Just put me in the box car of a freight train I guess
You let the train leave the station then you watch it head west
Until they take me to the place where m soul can rest
Put me on a slow train
Take my body back to the town where they know my name
On a slow train
The kind that drive through the snow and the pouring rain
Now don't put me on no fast train or no midnight express
Just put me in the box car of a freight train I guess
You watch the train leave the station then you watch it head west
Until they place me 'neath that tombstone that reads Ted West
Put me on a slow train
Take my body back to the town where they know my name
On a slow train
The kind that drive through the snow and the pouring rain
